Our chair, Deb McNeill, has stepped down due to other commitments.
We’re delighted to announce however that St Ivo Parents Forum has a new chair who is taking up the reins and will be looking after the Forum going forward.
Taking the post of chair is our former vice-chair, Ed Goodman. Ed moved to St Ives in 2011 and lives with his wife and 2 boys. As well as being an U16 football coach and Chairman at St Ives Rangers F.C., Ed is also a trustee of CALMtown St Ives. In his day job, Ed coaches data-driven apprenticeships at Multiverse, for career-starters who have chosen apprenticeships over university, couldn’t afford to go to university, or have chosen to end their degree studies early. Our vice chair remains Rev Matt Finch. Matt has two sons at St Ivo and was previously the Methodist Minister in the town for 11 years before taking up a national role with the Methodist Church in 2019. He is a trustee of a suicide prevention charity, Campaign against Living Miserably (CALM), and regularly appears on Radio 2’s Pause for Thought.
Both Ed and Matt have been involved in the Forum from the beginning and are passionate about helping St Ivo flourish, improve and be a school that parents can be extremely proud of.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Deb and wish her all the best for the next steps the Forum takes and are delighted that she’ll be continuing as a member of the Steering Group.
