Forum leadership update – 10.04.2024

Our chair, Deb McNeill, has stepped down due to other commitments.

✅ We’re delighted to announce however that St Ivo Parents Forum has a new chair who is taking up the reins and will be looking after the Forum going forward.

✴ Taking the post of chair is our former vice-chair, Ed Goodman. Ed moved to St Ives in 2011 and lives with his wife and 2 boys. As well as being an U16 football coach and Chairman at St Ives Rangers F.C., Ed is also a trustee of CALMtown St Ives. In his day job, Ed coaches data-driven apprenticeships at Multiverse, for career-starters who have chosen apprenticeships over university, couldn’t afford to go to university, or have chosen to end their degree studies early. ✴ Our vice chair remains Rev Matt Finch. Matt has two sons at St Ivo and was previously the Methodist Minister in the town for 11 years before taking up a national role with the Methodist Church in 2019. He is a trustee of a suicide prevention charity, Campaign against Living Miserably (CALM), and regularly appears on Radio 2’s Pause for Thought.

✴ Both Ed and Matt have been involved in the Forum from the beginning and are passionate about helping St Ivo flourish, improve and be a school that parents can be extremely proud of.

🌟 We would like to say a huge thank you to Deb and wish her all the best for the next steps the Forum takes and are delighted that she’ll be continuing as a member of the Steering Group.
