St Ivo Parents Forum met with MP Jonathan Djanogly on 14th April at Shire Hall in Huntingdon.
We took a group of parents and 3 students to share our concerns about Astrea Academy Trust policies.
Jonathan listened carefully and has said he will help us in our campaign. He tweeted about the meeting saying,
“It was a pleasure meeting with representatives of the St Ivo Parents Forum earlier today to hear more about the areas that their work has focused on recently.
“
“Engaging with groups such as this one is an important means through which education provision can continue to be improved upon locally, and this remains one of my key priorities for the Huntingdon constituency”
He was impressed by our organisation and took us very seriously when we said we represent 500 members and have surveyed 350 families.
We’ll be emailing official Parent Forum members with a bit more information about the meeting in the next few days.
The Hunts Post have covered it and you can read their article here: https://www.huntspost.co.uk/news/23462302.st-ivo-parents-forum-meet-mp-jonathan-djanogly/
